I was exposed to music early on as a child. Like many of us. Through the newest Disney film my parents had brought home from work, or from the living room piano my Opa was sitting behind. Every gap in life always seemed to be filled with music. I was in awe of its limitless potential and power, to ignite and unite souls, passions, desires and dreams. A world full of discovery and spirit.
Music changes with us, it forms us and guides us. It influences. From Jazz and Blues as a toddler, rock and pop as a kid, rap as a teenager, and electronic music that stretched into adulthood. Music became a catalogue for my mind, my memories and emotions. I believe each moment in life, each second has a musical counterpart to meet it. The trick is finding out what. Which pushed me into mixing and digging. An endless combination of physical music, marking a part of history, trapped in wax and plastic, spinning at 33 or 45rpm to travel from a needle to the mind. I found purity in DJing in a vinyl format and in the friendships I made along the way.
